About Phil
I am a cycling, balding, unquestionably athletic, high school teacher of Business Studies. I live and work in Lowestoft but grew up in various areas of Birmingham. In 1984 I moved down to Lowestoft and became a Christian on the night of Halloween, aged 21. I was looking for answers to the big questions in life; is there a God, do I have any meaning beyond normal living and what happens when I die?
I had little experience of Church and no idea of who Jesus was. To the world I labelled myself as an atheist but deep down I wasn’t at all. Something inside me was uncomfortable with life and the absence of God. When I was angry or frustrated I had no trouble in blaming the God I didn’t believe in and when I was desperate for help, guess who I turned to.
