7th July 2010. Have you seen?
Have you seen Bobbie Sanderson this summer? Standing straight and stretching out her arms Smiling like a princess on her birthday Breathing in the beauty, enchanted by each moment. After years of wheelchair prison Bobbie never thought life could turn around. 3rd Feb 2010. heartthrob “What is being sown in suffering and hardship is being reaped in everlasting beauty that will shine for all eternity. All of creation is astounded at the beauty that is being created …” 15th Jan 2010. Song for the UK House in the suburbs Wife at the door I live with plenty But Plenty wants more … 3rd Oct 2009. The Warning. “I don’t know what you’re so angry about.” He paused and then continued, “After all, the only one dead here is God isn’t it? … 20th Sept 2009. A talk in Ipswich I left Lowestoft at dusk and drove down the A12 to Rushmere St Andrew, a little suburb of Ipswich. After the food it was into the talk and once again re-living the events of July 1st 2006 and the aftermath battle of God vs Grief … 17th Sept 2009. More books printed The initial print run of 3000 finally exhausted itself during August and so I spent some time revising some of the text, correcting the few typos that somehow escaped the proof-readers eyes. The inside pages containing the colour photos have also been amended and some text on the back cover. The second print run was for 2000 copies and I’m pleased with the results although it will be a challenge to move them on. With the current recession, bookshops have suffered quite badly and so have some companies that supply them. Still, there’s plenty of talks booked in and other sales avenues that remain unexplored. Better get my travelling gear out then. Shame I’m not a celebrity. 2nd Sept 2009 In the air I’m imagining a multitude of people all looking up to the skies. They are the church, the bride of Christ and they are looking upwards, waiting for the Groom to appear ….. 26th August 2009. Amy’s GCSE results. Three years ago it was Claire’s A Levels and Jenny’s AS ICT which she took as a Year 10 student. Their results were excellent although at the time I received them with a shrug. What mattered back then was that they had qualified for Heaven. Everything else was secondary. Amy’s achievements were also superb considering how much she has been through. A ‘C’ in maths was more than we hoped for considering her teacher left for another school halfway through the year. An ‘A’ and ‘B’ in the two English subjects were the main highlights, although a ‘B’ in History was also noteable. Now she’s off to East Norfolk 6th Form College to study Human Biology, Chemistry, English and Photography at A Level. I wonder how things might have out if not for Jesus in her life? What must it be like to live in the mind of a girl who lost her two sisters so abruptly? Like 3 years ago I found myself reaching the same conclusions. Qualification for Heaven is what thrills me as a father the most. Knowing Amy has the seal of a faithful heavenly father upon her life and that he will never abandon her to death. She could have got zero GCSE’s and I’d still be happy. Nevertheless a quiverfull of good passes is still pretty cool and I’m chuffed! Visit the DUSTY ARCHIVE FOR MORE BLOGS |
